The deadline for the Emerging Photographer Fund grant is officially moved to April 1, 2009….

This is a two week extension from the original March 15 deadline date….

The Emerging Photographer Fund is a $10,000 grant to be awarded to a photographer to continue  a personal body of work….

Initiated by BURN , the EPF operates under the non-profit status of the Magnum Cultural Foundation .

Details for applying for  this grant can be viewed in the upper right hand corner of BURN….

Finalists will be announced on or before  May 1, 2009. The recipient of this grant will be announced on or before  June 1, 2009..

PLEASE  do not send private e-mails regarding this grant nor ask procedural questions on your entry submitted through Photoshelter. The high volume of entries makes it impossible for me to answer.

If you follow the very simple guidelines for entry,  your work  will be received and viewed and considered carefully.

You may ask any last minute questions of me right HERE in the comments box….

  1. looking forward to it david… your inspiration has been invaluable since we met on lightstalkers.. road trips and now burn have helped solidify ideas and i think i know hwo things will work now..
i keep having dreams about the book and editing which hopefully are prophetic in some way.. previsualizing the narrative and how it may look.

it´s amazing how sitting down with prints in real time throws up new ideas and methods.. and conversation with friends has bought the idea further still..

  2. The submission guidelines are very straightforward, save for a photoshelter url (for those, like me, unfamiliar). Google searches yield many photoshelters. Would you indicate the specific site? Thanks much, T.W.

  3. DAH

EPF question: one thing has been bugging me… in the details for applying you ask for images to be 1600px on longest side, but i can’t see how you could view them at any bigger than the small postcard within Photoshelter, unless you download them? should we check the download permission box on each image?

    cheers
    Sam

  4. SAM…

i doubt i would download any picture just to see it larger…i think the viewing size is just fine for this preliminary whittling down of the entries…my goal now is to make a short list of finalists..these finalists will then build a Blurb book for the judging by a jury of peers which will yield our EPF recipient….

    cheers, david

  5. I wish I had more substantial material… I’d put something together.
I look forward to seeing the work that fits in the finals, if that is possible?

  7. that´s a real blow… my free account appears to still be working… for now.

as with the stock sale side of phot shel.. they do change things without notice..

perhaps a lightstalkers gallery could work if not Photshelt?

  8. David said…
“we will figure out some way to show the work of all the finalists….just as i did last year….”

I was having a look at the road trip site today and I couldn’t find last year’s finalists.
Some help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks, Zisis

  9. Sorry for the silly question, guys, but I am not familiar with Photoshelter.

In the GALLERY display, description is limited to 2000 characters. In the LIGHTBOX display, description is limited to 500 characters only.

Just to make it perfectly clear, the limit of 500 characters does not depend on the type of account, right?

    thanks in advance!

  10. questions from someone on LS..

    1) In the lightbox view, how do you get the captions to show if they are already there in the photos, and can be seen in the gallery view?

    2) Is there a way to turn off the big copyright notice across the images in lightbox view?

  11. I too just sorted a free account. I used to have a paid one but needed to cut costs after move back to Europe nearly wiped me out.

Will upgrade in the near future. It’s well worth it.

  12. DAH,

In connection with Sam’s question from above:
I have a set of 1000pix-wide files that are ready (had them prepared for display on my website.)
Would they be adequate for the purposes of the pre-screening or do I have to rescan my negatives to 1600pix?

  13. ZISKAR…

you are right, the 2008 finalists were actually not shown on Road Trips but on my own website home page and they are no longer there….i had forgotten we pulled them off…in any case, they were up there for a solid year and just recently removed….however, we will create a 2009 category here on BURN for the finalists..

  14. answering my own question 1)..it seems that for the captions to show up in the lightbox they have to be entered as IPTC info (either in your original upload or in ARCHIVE)..if you enter them in GALLERY, they don’t transfer over. Or so I was told..haven’t confirmed it yet.

And 500 character limit in lightbox, yes.

  15. Thodoris

“Would they be adequate for the purposes of the pre-screening or do I have to rescan my negatives to 1600pix?”

I learned the hard way to scan at the highest res possible and keep a master file. Then I make the different sizes as I need them from it. I like an 800 pixel image for screen use.

  16. David
Is it possible to change few photos from my lightbox before the deadline even if I’ve already shared the box with epf?
    j

  17. Robert…

I appreciate the logic of scanning-as-big-as-you-can in the first place, but when I was doing those scans I had a few hundred negatives to go through from this project and a not-all-that-fast scanner. It seemed a good idea at the time to scan and work on smallish files, but it has come back to bite me…

  18. Thodoris

i’m sure when you scanned all those negs it WAS the right thing to do,
now you can focus on 10 of your best and scan them big, first,
you might end up feeling it was all for a reason
as it will force you to be extra ruthless and focused

on the other hand it could totally bum you out as you must now
spend the next week rescanning negs

either way, it’ll be worth it
    and you know that,
    it don’t stop,

    Yeeee haaaawwww!

  19. Hey David/Anton–are we supposed to get a confirmation email to make sure that you have received our submissions, or are we just supposed to bug you about it?

  20. Mr. Harvey, first and foremost, thank you for making this grant possible. It is truly appreciated by all. I have a question concerning the blurb book. Does the content have to be solely from one’s grant project proposal or can you have other work in it as well? Looking at the deadlines, it is best for me to start working on this now. D

  21. CHRIS…

as i wrote above, we cannot send e-mails to everyone who submitted…if you submitted properly, we have it….

    DEL LUKE…

do not do anything regarding a blurb book unless you are a finalist….the blurb books will be how the finalists are judged…however you want to present yourself to the jury is what you should have in this book…so you may do as you please, but probably best just to have your grant proposal work in there so the jury can see your idea and the project you want to continue…

  22. DAH

Will the other key dates (May 1st, June 1st) also be pushed? My experience with Blurb is that it might take more than a month to get a nice book from them.

Hope you will enjoy Spain (jealous here).

    Nacho

  23. well, I have created an agency and because of that my photoshelter account is on it’s name. the lightbox is created there (with my copyright). but I can always create a free account just for EPG if you prefer.
if possible and you have time please check www-via-visuals.com I have just put it online right now!!
feedback from everyone most welcomed (and bug reports also :)
    best to all

  24. MIGUEL…

i suggest that the photographs presented are in your name….

    NACHO…

i did not know it took that long quite frankly…hmmmm, will i might have to have the finalists judged by April 15 or so…that should give everyone enough time..besides, i think i can push blurb a bit on this one too…

  25. DAH

I am not saying it has to take that long but it might, taking into account the time to prepare it, getting it from Blurb, sending it to you. I would recommend finalists not to assume Blurb will ship in the 5/6 business days they mention in their website. My experience having printed a few dummies with them is that it usually takes quite longer. Then sometimes there are photos that are not printed well etc. and you want to redo, so I think that having some room for maneuver will be good for the finalists.

    Cheers,

    Nacho

  26. Hi there. I just now noticed the blurb about the EPF on the main page. I sent an email, asking if you were able to see my lightbox, before I saw this. I apologize. I followed the guidelines, so I’m just going to assume that all is well.

Thank you for the chance to submit!

    Joshua

  27. Hi!

I would like to know if I possibly won the award, would there be difficulty in getting the Blurb book to you if I will be out of the country from April 22 through May 31st?

    Thanks,
    Juliana

  28. Ok, this might be a silly question but I was wondering how you define an ’emerging photographer’.

I have experience as a newspaper photographer at a major paper but I’m now just starting a freelance career, I have a lot of published work at the paper but never in magazines, books, etc.

So I don’t know if my newspaper experience disqualifies me from being ’emerging’ and I want to be fair to newer photographers but at the same time I feel like I’m starting over in the business since I’m very new to the freelance world.

  29. noah

    it’s a relative term i think..
all are emerging at differing levels and whether emerging after working prof or emerging from early love of photography.. s’all the same ball park.. if in doubt i’d say enter and see.

there is no definition of emerging on this site which i have found, so i would say take it as an inclusive term rather than an exclusive one and see how it goes..

    david

  30. NOAH / ALL

I have this at my fingertips as I sent it to a friend who thought she might not be emerging…here is what DAH wrote here somewhere in response to someone asking about emerging..someone with a “barrier to break”

“your question about the term “emerging” is a fair one…i suppose there are gradations of “emerge”…i sure as hell see myself as emerging….and yes, emerging photographers like Raul can be great workshop teachers i think (i believe i told you that i was teaching at 23 while i was very very emerging)….where the line between emerging and established gets drawn is very subjective, as is everything about photography…but, for example, both Raul and Mike Brown (our last two essayists) have completed magazine assignments and earn their living as photographers, yet neither has a book nor has done an exhibition..so , in my mind at least, they have one more barrier to break…i think they would both agree….”

  31. Hi David,
I have already submit my photo essay as you instructed.
Are you sending confirmation mail to the senders?
I have not yet received the mail of confirming that I have uploaded/submitted as per your requirement and I am a bit confused whether you get my work or not?
    Partha

  32. PHOTOLILY…

    yes, you may…

    JENN…

i will announce the jurors just before the judging…i have to be flexible because of everyone’s schedule…i can assure you however, the jurors will come from the very best talent i can find from the world of publishing and art….

    PARTHA PAL…

as i wrote above, we cannot send confirmation letters..but, if you submitted correctly and received a note from Photoshelter, we have to have your material…

    cheers, david

  33. DAVID,

You have got me worried now….I have shared the Lightbox with my submission 3 weeks ago but never got a note back from Photoshelter…. hum….are you sure about the note back???? Must have done something wrong here…

Can others confirm they did get a note back????

    Thanks,

    Eric

  34. ERIC/KAREN/ALL:

here is AN EASY WAY TO TELL/CONFIRM IF THEY RECEIVED YOUR SUBMISSION (do not panic people…!!):

    click on your lightbox.
    click on the Sharing tab
this tab will tell you who you’ve shared with
    If it says ‘BURN magazine’
    YOU ARE IN BUSINESS….

and then FORGET ABOUT THE GRANT AND MAKE PHOTOGRAPHS :)))))))))))))))))))))))….

    see what happens later

    hope that helps y’all
    cheers
    bob

p.s. David, you owe me a beer for that clarification ;))))))) (should make your life and these endless requests for ‘confirmation’ easier!

  35. Hi DAH,
quick question: will the photographs be viewed on a screen like during the BKK workshop?
( just thinking of a potential technical problem)
    cheers,
    k.

  36. For all who are yet to submit..

PhotoShelter accounts will be unavailable on March 27th from 9pm – 11:59 PM Eastern Daylight Time..so if you only have a little time in your schedule to work on this, you’ll need to find some time other than these 3 hours.

  37. BOB…

many thanks…i did not even know that!!

    KATHARINA…

why would you have a tech problem?? if your pics sized right, there can be no problem (i think)..

in any case, i will make sure all stories show up properly, one way or another…

    cheers, david

  38. KAREN…

why did you pay?? there is no need for you to pay…there is a selection button on Photoshelter that gives you a “free” option for this submission…it is clearly stated in our instructions that a free account was perfectly ok for EPF submissions…

    cheers, david

  39. Hi,

    David :
“Finalists will be asked to create a blurb book (or blurb style ) for the final jury. Jurors will see what looks like a book of your work. A hard copy judging. So, start thinking of how your work would look in book form.”

My question: are there a number limited of pages for the book ? or a number limited of photos ?

    Best,audrey

  40. David
You’re so right, I paid nothing. I got photoshelter and another project I submitted mixed up. I did use the free account! yikes
    best,
    karen

  41. James

In your gallery you have all the thumbs..when you click on one, it opens in a new window with the caption and all that. If you click on it again, it should open larger still in a floating kind of window..

  42. Is it necessary for the photo essay we submit to be related to the project we apply for? In other words, can I submit a completed project in order to get the grant for a new project?

  43. Michael Hassoun

Where should I describe the proposed essay?
In the description associated with the lightbox?
    Thanks!

  44. BRADY…

that is a tough one…i would imagine an old project that could somehow be seen as relating to something new you want to start could be considered…however, i think it more likely the jurors would want to be totally convinced that you really had the ability to pull off the new one…in all honesty, it would really depend on how powerful the essay you submit…give it a try…

    MICHAEL…

yes, to both questions…if you become a finalist, then more information and a blurb style book will be required….

    cheers, david

  45. Hi David,

I’m almost ready to submit my work, but I’m having some difficulty captioning my images in Photoshelter. I’m using the ‘Lightbox Details’ menu to add a title and description to my work, which works perfectly, but I can’t figure out how to add captions.

Should I add captions by using the ‘add a comment’ button or is there some other way to caption my images that I haven’t found yet. I appreciate that this may sound like a silly question, but I want to get this right.

Your help (or anyone else’s) would be much appreciated.

    Best wishes,

    Thaddeus

  46. Thaddeus

    go to Archive,

click on image, click on ‘edit’ button, click on ‘IPTC info…’ write your caption in box titled ‘description’, click ‘edit images’ – your done. That image now has your caption imbedded in the IPTC code and will show up in your lightbox.

    good luck

  47. Hi Sam,

Thanks very much for the advice – it worked perfectly, and allowed me to use unabridged versions of my captions. Great stuff.

    Good luck with your submission.

    Best,

    Thaddeus.

  48. Hello…

I have a quick question. For the past year, I have been working on a long term project with another emerging photographer. There is a variety of reasons why this story is suitable for this kind of collaboration. We are both contributing photographs to the final photostory. Would we be able to submit a project for consideration together?

    all the best,

    Trevor

  49. If the images to be uploaded into Photoshelter are to be 1600px wide, how many dpi should they be?
    Thanks, Tessa

  50. TESSA….

dpi is irrelevant for this ..only matters in printing, not viewing here….just go 1600 pixels on the longest side…

    TREVOR…

sure, no problem…the jurors may not agree, but if you have a dual photographer project, go for it

    cheers, david

  51. Hi !!
I´m trying to upload my project… an send it to EPF. but i see a problem…
When I upload my images an make a lightbox there is a Copyright mark in each picture… so… Do I send the lightbox with the copyright mark to the EPF or there is another way to send the pictures without copyright…

    Thanks…

    Carlos

  52. Sorry if this question already has been up, BUT, Photoshelter is new for me.. Should I write the general project description in the field “deails >description? This field you don’t see when you open every photo, so should I write the captions in the “comment” field under each picture?? Sorry, but captions sometimes are very important and I want it to be right..

And: since the caption field is not very big, I guess most important is to explain your project, not who your are as a photographer etc or a financial plan how to spend an eventually grant etc?

    Thanks***

  53. Hi Andrea !!!! Now I can help you !!!

    You have to go to:
ARCHIVE } then you selec a picture… click on EDIT… and click on IPTC INFO }…..and you can make captions for each image…
    it´s Ok ??

  54. I´m preparing now my essay… I think general description should go in:
    LIGHTBOXEs…} Details…} Description…
    (I think)…
    It´s ok??

  55. hi everyone, hello Monsieur Harvey

I have uploaded my work on photoshelter and shared it with EPF (I hope), but in my lightbox, there is no way to see the pictures in a big or even a medium size. It is something like 400 pixels wide. Is it ok?
From the lightbox, does the jury have access to the galleries and see the pictures in a wider size?
Because I guess jurors won’t download all the pics to see them.

Thank you for organizing this event.
    Mes amitiés. Philip

  56. CHANGING CAPTION INFO:

Does anyone know how to change the caption info in lightbox? I went back to the gallery and changed the caption there and tried to copy to the existing lightbox but it has not copied.
    Anyone else have this issue?

Thank for any advice in resolving this.

    Srini

  57. Kathleen Fonseca

Congratulations, Sean..i watched the slideshow and read your interview. What an experience, and what a year it has been for you! I wish you the very best of success with your plans for the future. The slide show was awesome..i especially gasped at the photo of the hang gliders and the submerged tombstone. Quite powerful!

    best~
    kathie

  58. Kathleen Fonseca

And Katharina (the other Kat), congratulations to you as well! Your photo in the link provided by Cathy was stunning. The colors like jewels, the subject matter chilling..wonderful :))

    saludos
    Kathie

  59. Carlos Folgoso

    Just a question…

Description to the essay should go in: LIGTBOXES — Description…

    So … only allows 500 characteres…

Is there another place to put the description ??

    Thanks…

  60. I not sure I did everything correctly. I didn’t see a space for a description of the project, I placed it in the email invitation. Please let me know if I need to do anything differently.

    Thanks….. Ed Yanowitz

  61. I shared my lightbox in February- I have made changes since, added captions etc. Have you been culling the work? or will you view the lightbox for the first time after April 1 deadline?

    Thank you, Graham

  62. hello,

I have exactly the same question as Philip, from March 26th……

    —-
I have uploaded my work on photoshelter and shared it with EPF (I hope), but in my lightbox, there is no way to see the pictures in a big or even a medium size. It is something like 400 pixels wide. Is it ok? From the lightbox, does the jury have access to the galleries and see the pictures in a wider size? Because I guess jurors won’t download all the pics to see them.
    —-

Also, if you can’t see them larger, do you need us to make sure they are available for download?

    thank you!
    toni

  63. TONI…

the photographs are large enough for the preliminary jury to judge…as was written in the original announcement, finalists will make a blurb.com book for jury selection…..

  64. Re: description- The photoshelter lightbox allows 500 characters (not words). This seems insufficient to detail the project we’d like to continue. Is this the expectation? Thanks,

  65. TIM…

of course this is insufficient space to explain a long project…as i have written in the instructions for submission, this first round will take the portfolios down to a group of probably 25-35 finalists….the jury can quite easily judge the overall net worth of a project by first seeing the photographic ability of the photographer and the general intent of the photographs…the finalists will then be asked to make a blurb.com book of their work with a more detailed description before finally choosing the recipient of the EPF grant….this avoids us having to charge an entry fee here on BURN…

    cheers, david

  66. Just wanted to say, I am really sorry not to have an appropriate project in the pipeline for EPG for this year because I have a feeling the competition will go ballistic over the next few years.

Thank you David for making it all happen.

    regards

    Ian

  67. IAN….

well, what i really want to happen is to secure enough funding to give out several “assignments” throughout the year…i picked a bad time for this dream ..the middle of a global recession!!! on the other hand, maybe not…we will know in the next couple of months if this will be possible…

    cheers, david

  68. David, I don’t think it’s going to be a bad time at all. Great things are coming :))

  69. i wonder – is this due april 1 as in wednesday at 11:59 eastern? or tuesday (the 31st) at 11:59 pm, before the 1st etc? i know it would seem lame to be pushing to the last minute but i want to step away from my portfolio for 24 hours (at least) before making my absolute final cut. anyone know? thanks.

  70. Just testing…. If you are around tomorrow (tuesday) let me know a good time to call.

  71. Hi DAH,
sounds stupid, but just wanted to double-check : we should send an invitation to a LIGHTBOX and NOT a GALLERY ?
    cheers,
    katharina

  72. David and Tom,
Great things are coming, like great inflation, great unemployment, great deficits and great taxes. I am, however, optimistic about my ability to shoot it. If you guys don’t mind, I’ll just hold up my end of this nice yin yang thing we have going.

I Just submitted Garage Sale David.

  73. David McG, don’t mind at all, all things in balance. But you will see, the deepest troughs beget the highest waves.

  74. so i know i should be QUARANTINED to times and times or welcome to burn…

but can i just say good luck to everyone?

    GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

(DAH, tylenol 6000 mg to each and everyone of your judges!)

  76. DAH, I’m sure that you taking someone under your photographic wing for six months or so would be worth more then a pot of gold, and far better then the paper stuff that is so easy to print! :-)

  77. i am submitting some work- this is my first time using photoshelter- the gallery allows to add captions but when i put my photos on the lightbox it wont let me add captions- just comments- where should i add captions?

    please advise.

    thank you.

  78. Angela

add the captions in the archive and they will automatically show in the Gallery AND in the Lightbox.

To add captions in the archive, just select the specific image (can be more than one) and then go to “Edit” and “IPTC Info …”. The first field of “IPTC Info…” is called “Description”. Enter your captions there.

    Good luck!

    Lassal

  79. KATHARINA…

    lightbox

    RAFAL…

i see the pictures about 4″ x 6″ which is certainly large enough to get a good idea of the work…believe me , we are looking very very carefully…..the final judging will NOT be from this lightbox anyway….but from a blurb book which will be prepared by any and all finalists…the jury for the EPF will be judging from a very fine presentation indeed…not from a computer screen , but from hard copy….

the overall system we are using seems to work quite well…nobody will be left out who has a strong essay just because the pictures are smallish on Photoshelter….

    ANGELA…

i cannot figure out what you are doing wrong….95% of the entrants seem to have figured out the caption entering system just fine….take a deep breath, go slow…

    ROBERT…

thank you….i do “take on” photographers all the time for mentoring….it is definitely a mutually beneficial experience…..at any given time i am probably working on book projects etc with about 10 different photographers…..not counting the photographers who choose the workshop experience….

    cheers, david

  80. hello,
I have a question…a very simple one i guess. when i was subscribing to the epf, i forgot to put the two “allows” that were requested, and after i couldn´t do it again. is there any problem?
    thank ou for your help!

  81. Hi Angela.

I asked a similar question a few weeks ago.

As far as I can tell, this is what you should do.

“Go to Archive, click on image, click on ‘edit’ button, click on ‘IPTC info…’ write your caption in the box titled ‘description’, click ‘edit images’ – your done. That image now has your caption imbedded in the IPTC code and will show up in your Lightbox.”

    Good luck with your submission.

    Best,

    Thaddeus.

  82. is anyone having major blurring issues on the photoshelter site? things looking way more blurry there than in photoshop or preview etc? hmm… small blurry images – sure hope the judges download these…

  83. Thaddeus Pope

    Hi David,

Sorry to bother you, but I have one quick question.

I have checked the “allow to invite other users” and “allow to comment, rate and move images” boxes, but should we also check the “Allow Download” box in the Lightbox which would enable hi resolution downloads from our Lightboxes? (I currently have this set to the default of “No downloads allowed”).

If yes, should we allow “Original file format and size” or “JPEG” file downloads?

    Thanks for your time.

    Best Wishes,

    Thaddeus.

  84. Pete Marovich

    Angela,

If you have not figured out the captions yet… You put the captions on the images in the archive. They will automatically appear in any gallery or lightbox you add the images to. Of course it is better to have all the metadata already in the file before the upload.

If you have any questions, you can email me at pete@petemarovichimages.com.

  85. ahem, anybody having blur issues? is this just standard for photoshelter? could someone let me know before i send this on (please)??? thank you…

  86. hopeful

I didn’t have blur issues..my standard web protocol involves a little sharpening though before uploading: in PS go to filter – sharpen – unsharp mask – amount 50% – radius .3 pixels -threshold 0

  87. Wow, I finally managed to do it. Photoshelter does read your description if you’ve added one to the image in windows and add it as a caption (and I was trying to figure it out…). At least it was a worthy experience fighting with this site… ;-)

  88. My captions aren’t appearing in the lightbox that I shared, but I can see them in the gallery. Does this mean they’re not there or I’m simply inept at photoshelter? Help kindly appreciated :)

  89. Emily, the Lightbox reads the captions as they appear in the Archive. If you added captions in the Gallery, it is likely that they will appear only in the Gallery. For the purposes of submission to Burn’s grant, you don’t have to create a Gallery. Just do all of your captioning in the Archive, then choose the ones in the Archive that you want to add to a Lightbox.

  90. What’s all this talk about today????….

is there a submission/contest/grant/award/agency application deadline???

something to do with April 1st? ;))))))

    Ian Curtis

…To the centre of the city where all roads meet, waiting for you
To the depths of the ocean where all hopes sank, searching for you
Moving through the silence without motion, waiting for you
In a room without a window in the corner I found truth

In the shadowplay acting out your own death, knowing no more
As the assassins all grouped in four lines, dancing on the floor
And with cold steel, odour on their bodies made a move to connect
I could only stare in disbelief as the crowds all left

I did everything, everything I wanted to
I let them use you for their own ends
To the centre of the city in the night, waiting for you
To the centre of the city in the night, waiting for you

  108. Good, just read that my lightbox was shared with Burn Magazine. I can sleep now. If you can’t sleep, go to check it.

Today I’ve been hanging prints from a lot of photographers in my living room. Thirty or more. Throwing a party on Saturday. It’s great that people take part in this kind of stuff. The prints go next to Italy.

  109. Alberto Pitozzi

    Hello everyone,
I had submit the EPG and I have a little stupid question…
In my Lightbox, every image have a big white copyright mention on the center, it is normal?

    Thank’s and Good luck!

    Alberto

  110. Alberto, it can be shut off, but I don’t know if the change you make now will affect the lightbox you already sent. I think it mught..worth a try.

go to “my website” – image security – watermark – NO – save..but it takes time for them to disappear, maybe a day before you will see the difference.

  111. Goodmorning y’all ..

  114. Not that I’ve seen, broke and praying. I’m on pins-and-needles waiting for the announcement.

  115. Jan, on the 15th DAH wrote “you have not missed anything…i am just late…i never anticipated 1,200 entries..give me another week por favor…” but then in response to a post if the date had been moved to the 15th, DAH wrote “yes”..so I assume he will get to it asap, if not the 15th then maybe a little earlier if he can?

  116. oops, I meant on the 1st DAH wrote..”you have not missed anything…i am just late…i never anticipated 1,200 entries..give me another week por favor…” but then in response to a post if the date had been moved to the 15th, DAH wrote “yes”..so I assume he will get to it asap, if not the 15th then maybe a little earlier if he can?
