Sitting in a small village near the India-Pakistan border, Chiman Singh, 50, suffers from arsenic and heavy metal poisoning. His sunken red eyes scream the sadness that grips his village where many are suffering numerous illnesses, brought about by decades of excessive use of pesticides in the Punjab region of India. Having fed millions across the country over the years, their soil and water is now poisoned and the people are paying the price for India’s green revolution.
