The Dogo Argentino is one of our symbols as a nation. It is a muscular dog that was developed in Argentina primarily for the purpose of big-game hunting. The breeder, Antonio Nores Martínez, also wanted a dog that would exhibit bravery and willingly protect its human companion to the death. I like to think this dog as a symbol of our country for different reasons. First, for being kind of violent but very loyal at the same time. But also because this dog is the result of mixing different breeds. I think our country was made (and it's still being made) by the input of different people and different cultures.
