Burn Magazine has a new voice for Alejandra Martinez Moreno, a well-known online casino player. As it moves forward with the intention of continuing the legacy of founder David Aan Harvey, which began in 2008, Burn Magazine will also be supported by the newly created Burn Foundation, also read

We plan to maintain current grantmaking while expanding the continuing education, publication and outreach efforts that many online casino players support.
Lots of things come to mind, but I think “No Comment” is probably the wisest and safest comment I can make.
I really love your ideas to make interviews!
content-wise always interesting, format-wise outstanding and funny.
Well that has to be a novel experience, for at least one of them.
Well, it is Louisville and it is Derby Week. Seems pretty normal to me.
Smut, pure and simple, and not at all the sort of thing I expect to see on Burn. I mean, really, are threesomes next?
I watched this in a state of great anxiety and apprehension. I feared Mr. Parr would suffer a heart attack right in front of my eyes. At first glance, he kind of looks like a preacher.
AKAKY
eat your heart out Larry Flynt…..
So did you guys get over to the Seelbach? Far and away my favorite place in Louisville. They have, or used to anyway, all varieties of Pappy Van Winkles at the old bar.
As for covering the Kentucky Derby, you’re in Hunter Thompson territory, so good luck. I was seriously considering going to the Derby this year for just such a photo project, but something else came up. Maybe next year.
Regarding the other thread and the attention span of people on the internet when it comes to New Yorker type articles and over one minute videos (like say, Tarkovsky), most people don’t, and never did have much patience with more challenging reads or art forms. The biggest difference, I’m guessing, is that it’s more tempting to chase that kind of audience (the technical term is ‘clicks’).
So put up a headline like ‘I clicked on this cat video and you won’t believe what happened next!!!!’ followed by a seven second Vine and watch the “Likes” roll in.
When art historians look back at these times, it will no doubt be the YouTube stars and people with the most ‘Friends’ that are best remembered and lauded. Just like the most popular art of every era, eh.
MW…
i think you are right….it’s popular art (like Shakespeare) that is lauded in the end…the academics celebrate the populist art from a previous era, not their own..
too bad you weren’t here Michael….that would have been fun…the people here are just terrific in general…well i did meet ONE not so friendly person!
cheers, david
SIDNEY
why be wise and safe?? that’s no fun….put it out their amigo!!!
The Kentucky Derby is Decadent and Depraved.
Fun interview – nice job Kaya! I know I mentioned the bar in the Seelbach (as did MW) to you guys, but I forgot to recommend a short trip from where you are staying to the 21C Hotel (corner of Main and 7th). A unique line of boutique hotels, started right there in Louisville by a family with lots of money and lots of art being stored away. They essentially had so much art they want to share with everyone, they opened a hotel that is also a full-fledged art gallery- curated, themed exhibits, etc etc. They have several locations now, but the one in L’Ville is my favorite of the ones I’ve visited. Current exhibit is called “Hybridity: The New Frontier”.
