This guy was the winner. First place. The last man standing. It doesn’t get any more Americana than Moville, Iowa at a demolition derby. Woodbury County Fair. Hot dogs, apple pie , fried chicken, chocolate cake, potato salad and the smells of car exhaust and cow manure all blend in just fine. My parents fell in love in this town. Farm kids. World War II baby. I’m not a New Yorker. I fake it. I’m from HERE. Rolling thru my iPhone archives today and just pulled this one out. Only in America would folks invent a crazy sport like this and as I smile and shake my head , I very much would love to give it a try! I might go shoot in Iowa.
