Bangkok. I start my Magnum photo workshop here on Saturday with a double header pop up gallery opening with my Magnum colleague Jacob Aue Sobol. If you are in Bangkok come to our artists talk at RMA Institute, 238 soi Sainamthip 2, Sukhumvit 22, Klongtoey Road. 6pm. 2 weeks ago I was riding out a hurricane at home in the outer banks. Survived it. Jumped on a plane to Dubai and my exhibit opening in Sharjah. No time to breathe. Then another plane to Bangkok where for me now day is night and night is day. Jet lag supreme. I think since 5 hrs sleep is my norm, when the clock gets reversed it hits me harder than most. Anyway it’s a crazy life. From my front porch to literally around the world. As much traveling as I’ve done it still pretty much blows my mind. Yet now it’s time to focus on others. Their work their lives. A unique once in a lifetime experience. Compressed.
